Sonder Event Co. was founded out of the desire to create We tell love stories through aesthetics, experiences, and thoughtful details. With the majority of our team having a background in advertising, we often say we run our company like an agency. We do more than plan your wedding - we brand it, creating a unique look and experience your guests won't forget. We don't just manage your day, we create a production plan ensuring that you and your people are fully present in the moment as we create magic.

Our clients are busy professionals, and wedding planning is, in fact, a full-time job (wink). With that, we know the last thing anyone wants to do is answer emails after hours. We have a meetings-based experience. As a lot of work goes on behind the scenes we plan check-ins throughout the process, streamlining decision-making.
Together, we schedule meetings with the intentional purpose, planning your wedding at a pace that allows for thoughtful decisions. We listen intently to your love story and design a day that properly illustrates your story as we guide you through each choice with a focus on aesthetics and experience.

MEET YOUR
PLANNER
Helen Elyse Row was a serial flow girl as a child. She has been planning events since her junior prom (this is a heartwarming story if you ever want to hear it).
After studying Public Relations and Event Management at university and abroad in London, Helen moved from outside DC back to her hometown of Richmond, VA. The first weekend home, she introduced herself to the owner of a local photo booth at a brunch market, saying, “One day, I’ll be a wedding planner.” From that week on, she worked part-time as a photo booth operator, photographer assistant, and later as a venue coordinator while working full-time in advertising.
In her corporate positions, she planned events in conjunction with the Boston Red Sox, multiple international brands, and, most notably, Sam Kass, the Senior Policy Advisor for Nutrition Policy and Chef under President Obama.
She planned rooftop dinner parties, tasting in SoHo, influencer events at Fenway Park, and wine tasting at Chateau Marmont Her design work has been featured in HGTV, DIY, and The New York Times.
With experience working as a vendor and as a venue coordinator at multiple wedding venues, Helen has seen a wedding day from all sides. Inspired by art, design, fashion, and love stories, Helen and her team create events and wedding days that transcend beyond trends. Sonder Event Co. is a lifelong dream realized.

With a passion for spreadsheets, an eye for detail, and a strong Type-A personality, Rachel is a fierce advocate for couples planning their big day. Rachel works full-time in public service but is the wedding coordinator of dreams on the weekends. On wedding days, you'll see Rachel keeping everything on track while singing to every. single. song that plays.
Ashlyn is a full-time teacher, part-time coordinator, and our resident cool girl. Ashlyn's straightforward demeanor and ability to command a room make her the perfect assistant on the wedding day. She has a BA in Environmental Science and is passionate about sustainability. She is our critical thinker, maintains operational duties, and keeps vendors updated throughout wedding days.
